Well here we are. I've been to the doctor a second time for this illness. This doctor was very nice; so nice I had to ask myself why I get so scared of being judged by doctors when a lot of them are that nice (and I really have had a lot of nice experiences in meeting very kind physicians). I guess the one here or there that seems to judge has ruined it for all the rest.
Anyway.
Cody and I are both on the same antibiotic. He started feeling better after he started his. I feel noticeably better after beginning mine. And there you have it. There's a time and a place. And being dead for a couple weeks is a good time to go try an antibiotic (after you've been chewing garlic for several days).
Definitely have something viral going on, as well - so it may take a couple days yet to feel all better. But I'm happier now, at any rate, if a little stir crazy for not having quite enough energy to do what I want to do but HAVING enough energy to think about it. :)
Christmas cards, sewing, delivering finished quilts, dejunking, painting, dishes and laundry. Oh - and we could set up the small Christmas tree. 'Course that would involve going into the garage (it's cold out there). I don't know that that really appeals to me.
Jack turned Three yesterday. We celebrated by eating out somewhere where the kids could play. Jack celebrated by learning how to climb all over the play place by himself finally. We're all excited "look he's 3 and look what he can do now!" Now all he needs to do is learn how to talk. 'Course we love him as he is.
Anyway.. you know what? I can't decide whether or not to be lazy this year with Christmas cards. I kinda want to just stick the card (signed of course) in the envelope and mail. But usually I put more work into them - personalize them and such. But that could take so long. Just think of all that I could get done if I just act normal and do what everybody else does.
Well I better get to work on some project even if it's small.
Cherio kiddos.
Enjoy your Wed (or Thursday if you're on the other side of the planet).
Zhen I'm going to mail something to you that I expect to melt when it hits your hemisphere. Make sure to take a picture. Thanks. ^^
Everyone else - I'd mail the same to you, but you don't complain near as much. hahaha

Happy Birthday to Jack! I'm betting he'll talk more someday.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad the antibiotics are making you feel better!!! I understand your hesitation taking them; but I think sometimes they ARE needed.
Just because something is overused....it doesn't mean it should never be used.
yeah - I was (sigh) ready to go in there and beg for an antibiotic. Even if it's just the placebo effect (which I don't think it is in this case).
ReplyDeleteIt was funny. I went into the clinic and there was this young lady there with her mom. Poor kid. She was a teenager. Looked awful. I gather she had high blood sugar and a virus (?). She looked awful. And I felt so bad for her. I also didn't want to be anywhere near her. Really didn't want to catch whatever she had. Knock on wood - I don't think I caught that.
haha if your son is MUTE at 3 we know who he takes after don't we?? LOL
ReplyDeleteeh good reminder i need to get cracking on the cards i did look the other day but all the pretty ones i liked seemed to be gone...
i HAVE put my lil xmas tree up though so hopefully that is motivation for you to get yours up...I mean you HAVE KIDS for goodness sake...beanie and sock up before you brave the garage sheesh!
p.s i'm glad you finally cracked and went for antibiotics- i told my friend to do the exact same thing she's never quite recovered post whooping cough...antibiotics are great to dry up all that disgusting yellow green phlegm.
p.p.s i'm glad your postal service is so crap but still you should remember to sanitize my card before you send it or else wear gloves so you don't pass me your bugs!! btw you know what i would love to send you if they could travel in the mail? a BIENENSTICH...BOY AM I CRAVING ONE but it was not a fortunate day as both food institutions i was looking forward to were closed when I was in town!! :P
I don't know what a bienenstich is. Is that edible? And I'm not going to wear gloves while preparing cards ;) Really - the germs will die in the month they are in the mail ;P
ReplyDeleteI tell you what, though - I won't lick the envelope shut. I hate licking envelopes....
ReplyDeletethat is what i figured re your crap postal service is good for...lol but still you never know about all the superbugs that are evolving...a bienenstick is a german beesting brioche and honey cream dessert omg it's GOOD! along with ramen they are my most common cravings...
ReplyDeletelicking envelopes is backward- don't you have those enevelopes where you can just add water or the ones that have adhesive closures?
um I COULD add water to the envelopes. I just like to tape 'em up real good. It gives me attention for looking different - and I feel better about the envelopes not popping open even if I were to 'water' them shut ;)
ReplyDeleteThe bienenstich *does look good (googled). Whatever ramen you eat must be better than ours. I pretty much hate the stuff - but I gather you would as well if you had tried what we eat here.
Something I DO like that's out of the ordinary for an american diet is miso soup. Basically sodium-laden tofu/seaweed soup. Wonderful. But only on rare occasions.
Except that I'm sure you've had better - and it is pretty much all salt - I'd mail ya some.
ReplyDeleteBut as it is I'm going to stick with my first plan.
Oh kiddo, I've been sending healing thoughts your way but apparently they aren't quite making it to you... I'll put them on a plane this time. =)
ReplyDelete♥Aw, thanks Izzy. I think they make all the difference in the world. along with this antibiotic. ^^
ReplyDeleteFeeling better every day ;D
