Me veo poquito más como una Mexicana

Pictures won't be forthcoming.
I let my very guapa amiga pintarme, y me pintó  ..  wow - como una latina.  Y eso no soy.
^^  But it was lots of fun.

Mexican friend did my make-up.
Not only did she do my make-up - but she then took more pictures of me than I enjoy taking of myself.  I didn't think this was humanly possible, but she managed to do it.  And it was fun (until I got tired and then it wasn't as fun then, but it was still sort of fun).
We're going to have to do this again sometime.
Anyway, soon enough I will 'paint myself' and show her what I like (more or less) make-up-wise for myself.
And then we'll go out to the mall together or something for fun.

There were lots of highlights to this adventure, not limited to:

  • Joey actually hid behind his blanket when he saw my face when I came home.
  • Cody might have done the same, but he didn't have a blanket.
  • Julie and I talked about how this is not a good look (at least for our culture or the microculture we belong to at least)
  • Giggled, giggled, had a lot of fun giggling as make-up was applied and eyes were nearly jabbed.  She did a good job of not hurting me but I thought "wow - I am putting a lot of trust in this woman to work that close to my eyes !"  She applied all the make-up, herself.  Eyeliner on, what is that called, the "water line?" of the eye (on the inside of the eyelid practically).  I won't even do that, myself.  When I commented about the potential pain involved in jabbing one's eyeball while making oneself up, she said (in Spanish) "beauty hurts!"   I had never heard this in Spanish before, but I caught the gist of it and asked her daughter "Did she just say that 'beauty hurts?!"  Cracks me up.
  • It took a while to get the makeup off  ;)
  • The lipstick she put on, which I would never choose for myself, was 'magic' like she said and was the most difficult to remove.   heh   That's the only color she had, though.  And it changed colors when applied.  The stick was purple.  Can you imagine?  "Here I'm going to put this purple on you. Don't worry - it'll change color  =) "
Well that's not all the funny stories I have.  Ask me about the mascara  =D
Photos available upon request.

  1. I wish you'd let us see the pictures!!!

I think I know about the lipstick. I remember it being hard to remove.

It sounds like you had fun...at least in the beginning.

  2. BUCKETS of Fun =DDD hehehe

So you've seen that lipstick? that's cool. yeah, I might consider shopping for some other color eventually. But I'm really happy with my carmex (so is Cody) so maybe I'll skip lipstick and just grab some blush instead.. Definitely going to skip the foundation, though. She put foundation on me. I never wear foundation. Besides, I don't think that's good for my skin. Blush and maybe eyeshadow I'll consider. I was thinking about it last night, and I can remember the color of blush I used to wear. So now I know what to look for when I go to the store.
